EPL: Chelsea fans hails ‘new Drogba’, player better than Rashford after 4-1 win at Tottenham
Chelsea fans have reacted to the performance of Nicholas Jackson in their 4-1 win over Tottenham in the Premier League on Monday night.
Chelsea defeated Tottenham 4-1 on Monday night to end Ange Postecolou’s men’s unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Spurs were down to 9 men after Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie were sent off in the 33rd and 55th minutes respectively.
Chelsea made most of their numerical advantage with goals from Cole Palmer and a hat-trick from Nicolas Jackson.
The Blues have now returned to the top side of the Premier League table for the first time this season.
“Nicolas Jackson scored a Premier League hattrick before Marcus Rashford n Team,” one of the fans wrote on X.
“Way to go, Nicholas Jackson! What a show you put on with your first Chelsea hat trick! You’ve got the whole Chelsea family cheering and celebrating with you. Keep those goals coming!
“Drogba in disguise. I know what you are!!”
Speaking after the game, Pochettino said about Jackson, “It’s about building his confidence. We know when a striker is young and arrives at a club like Chelsea it is massive.
“I hope this hat-trick can allow him to play more relaxed, find the confidence he needs.”
