AFCON 2023: Sanusi returns to full training, Osimhen, Troost-Ekong rested

Zaidu Sanusi is now in contention to start Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final clash with the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire after returning to full training on Friday night.

Sanusi missed Nigeria’s semi-final victory against Bafana Bafana of South Africa due to injury.

The FC Porto defender participated in all the training drills at the Police College Cocody, Abidjan.

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen and William Troost-Ekong didn’t partake in the training.

The duo were rested and are expected to be part of the final session on Saturday (today).

The Super Eagles will face the hosts at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on Sunday.
