Nollywood veteran actor and director Paul Obazele has emerged as the candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the upcoming Edo State governorship election scheduled for September 21st.
The primary election took place on Friday on the Uselu axis of Benin City, with a notable presence of party faithful.
During the event, other aspirants for the position reportedly agreed to present Paul Obazele as their flag bearer.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials from the national headquarters were present to observe the conduct of the primary election. After the exercise, the officials described the election as well-conducted.
Having secured the ADC ticket, Paul Obazele is now set to contend with other candidates in the race for the Edo State governorship on September 21st.
