Breaking: US President, Joe Biden Secures Democratic Party Nomination For 2024 Presidential Election

Biden clinches nomination: President Joe Biden won enough delegates to secure his party’s presidential nomination after winning the Georgia Democratic primary, CNN projects. Former President Donald Trump, projected to win Georgia’s GOP primary, is also expected to clinchhis party’s nomination later tonight. CNN projects that both candidates will also win their respective Mississippi primaries.

Watching Georgia: The candidates are closely watching the Peach State for signs of how voters in the battleground state are responding to their message and campaign efforts. Democrats and Republicans are also voting in the Washington state primary and Hawaii Republicans are holding caucuses.

Trump vs Biden: Their rematch, long anticipated, but hardly clamored for, is broadly expected to mirror the 2020 campaign, though Trump will run this time under the specter of 91 felony charges. Neither will officially become the nominee until the national conventions vote this summer.
