BREAKING: Federal govt declares additional public holiday for Eid-El-Fitr celebration

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared Thursday, 11th April 2024, as an additional public holiday to mark this year’s Eid-El-Fitr celebration.

The announcement was made by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, in recognition of the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan.

In extending warm congratulations to the Muslim community for completing their month-long spiritual journey, Dr. Ojo reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to fostering a safe and prosperous Nigeria where all citizens can thrive.

the Ministry of Interior noted that the additional public holiday offers an opportunity for individuals and families across the country to observe and celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid-El-Fitr in unity and harmony.
