Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has said his players failed to react to Arsenal’s opening goal, as they lost 5-0 at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
The Gunners went 1-0 up as early as the 4th minute of the game.
Leandro Trossard controlled a short pass from Declan Rice and slammed in a smart finish at the near post.
Kai Havertz and Ben White both scored braces in the second half to seal the win.
“I think we started the game not so well.
“We conceded the goal and then it was difficult for us to recover from this goal. I think in the first half we compete after 10, 15 minutes.
“We could not approach the game like we started in the first half and we didn’t compete the way we needed to compete and then when they scored the third it was easy for Arsenal to control the game,” Pochettino told TNT Sports.
