Cher, 77, says she prefers younger boyfriends because men her age ‘are all dead’

Cher cheekily quipped that she prefers to have younger boyfriends because all of the men in her own age group have died

The 77-year-old has a longstanding fondness for younger men, and is currently dating record executive Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, 38.

Now she has explained that her rationale for dating younger men is that the older ones were all intimidated by her personality.

 

She would rather date men from later generations, who ‘were raised by women like me’ and as a result were never scared of her.

‘And the reason I got with young men is because men my age or older – well, now they’re all dead,’ she joked on The Jennifer Hudson Show this week. ‘But before they just never, they were always terrified to approach me.’

She noted that she herself is ‘really shy when I’m not working,’ and ‘kinda shy around men,’ lowering the chances of her making the first move.
