Juventus midfielder, Weston McKennie has shared his perspective on the enduring “GOAT debate” (Greatest player Of All Time) between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, two titans of modern football.
Having played alongside Ronaldo at Juventus, McKennie experienced the Portuguese’s extraordinary work ethic and skill up close.
The American footballer picked the former Real Madrid forward over the Argentina captain.
In a recent interview with Heat, McKennie expressed his opinion on the debate, declaring: “We know Ronaldo and have seen him up close, so I would say Cristiano.”
Messi and Ronaldo have won 13 Ballon d’Or among themselves.
The former Barcelona captain currently plays for Inter Miami, while Ronaldo now plays for Al-Nassr.
