Breaking: Police parade wanted ex-Oyo transport union boss, Auxiliary
Men of Oyo State Police Command have paraded a former Chairman of Oyo State Park Management System (PMS) Mr Mukaila Lamidi, also known as Auxiliary.
Lamidi was paraded by the Police on Thursday in Ibadan.
CityNews Nigeria gathered that Lamidi had earlier been declared wanted by the police some months ago over some allegations levelled against him.
The former PMS boss was arrested by the men of Department of State Service at his Olodo residence few days ago.
The State Commissioner of Police, Adebola Hamzat, while speaking during the parade, said Lamidi will be charged to court for the offences he was declared wanted for.
He said that various exhibits have been recovered from the suspect, including one AK-47 rifle, 4 AK-47 magazines, 84 live AK-47 ammunitions, 19 pump action riffles, one Barreta Pistol, 7 cut-to-size guns and one English made barrel gun.
Also recovered as exhibits, according to the Police chief, are 724 live cartridges, 25 cutlasses, 7 jack knives, 33 mobile phones, one Samsung laptop, charms, one Mazda bus, one Toyota Sienna and N3.4 . million cash.
“In furtherance of these, discreet intelligence-led search commenced for the sacked PMS chieftain with the help of technology, collaborative efforts with sister services and community policing, many locations were identified, traced and combed for months until his recent arrest in a concerted effort with our sister services.
“Moving forward, the suspect would be charged to court for offences committed,” the CP added.
