Kylian Mbappe has claimed it was “a difficult decision” to stay at Paris Saint-Germain in 2022.
The 25-year-old was expected to leave for Real Madrid two years ago.
But in a dramatic twist, he stayed with PSG and even signed a new contract.
However, Mbappe has now played his last game for the Ligue 1 champions and will leave as a free agent this summer.
On his decision to stay with PSG in 2022, Mbappe told CNN: “It was more than just staying at PSG. It was the World Cup in Qatar.
“There were many things around these things. It was a big decision, a difficult decision… but I don’t regret anything.
“It was not an easy situation and I wish nobody that.”
