The Chairman of Evergreen Musical Company, Chief Femi Esho, has passed away at the age of 77 after a brief illness.
The family confirmed his passing on Monday.
Esho, also known as Baba Esho or Baba Musician, was a significant figure in the Nigerian music industry.
He is also the Founder of the Evergreen Music Heritage Foundation.
Until his death, Baba Esho was a mentor to many in the Highlife music scene and played a vital role in preserving and promoting various Nigerian music genres like Highlife, Juju, Sakara, Apala, Afrobeat, and more.
The burial arrangements will be announced by his family soon.
