Fouani company boss and four others abducted in Lagos regain freedom

The Managing Director of Fouani Company, who was abducted alongside two other Lebanese nationals and two Nigerians, has regained freedom.

The MD and other abducted persons were dropped off on Monday night, June 17, at about 11pm by their kidnappers in a riverine area in Epe. The police marine personnel picked them up and ferried them to a safe area where they were then taken to their homes.

The businessman, his two Lebanese associates, as well as the boat driver and his assistant, both Nigerian nationals, were abducted on Friday, June 14, while travelling by boat in Lagos state. They were abducted around Falomo Bridge while commuting from Apapa to Victoria Island.

Confirming this to newsmen, the spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the men had been rescued.
