New Bayern Munich signing Michael Olise has explained why he snubbed Premier League clubs to move abroad.
Olise, on Sunday, completed a £60 million transfer from Crystal Palace to Bayern.
Before the move, the winger was linked with Chelsea and Manchester United.
Last summer, Chelsea thought they had landed Olise. But he opted to sign a new contract at Selhurst Park.
“The talks with FC Bayern were very positive, and I’m very happy to now be playing for such a big club,” Olise, who has signed a five-year contract with the Bavarians, said.
“It’s a great challenge, and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the coming years.”
