According to Brazilian news outlet Globo, the ordination ceremony took place on June 30. In a social media post, the couple expressed their desire to share the love of Christ with others, stating, “Our encounter with Christ ignited a burning passion in our hearts. We now feel responsible for spreading His love as pastors.”
This milestone follows Firmino’s public declaration of faith in 2020, when he was baptized in a Liverpool swimming pool.
He then established Manah Church in Maceio the following year, proclaiming, “Jesus is love, believe and feel the Holy Spirit.”
After eight remarkable years at Liverpool, Firmino departed last summer, leaving behind a legacy of 111 goals, 75 assists, and numerous trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.
He currently plays for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, where he has scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 34 appearances.
