Ex-Liverpool player, Roberto Firminho, turns Pastor

Former Liverpool and Brazil footballer Roberto Firmino has embarked on a new spiritual journey, co-founding an evangelical church in Maceio, Brazil, with his wife Larissa Pereira.

According to Brazilian news outlet Globo, the ordination ceremony took place on June 30. In a social media post, the couple expressed their desire to share the love of Christ with others, stating, “Our encounter with Christ ignited a burning passion in our hearts. We now feel responsible for spreading His love as pastors.”

This milestone follows Firmino’s public declaration of faith in 2020, when he was baptized in a Liverpool swimming pool.

After eight remarkable years at Liverpool, Firmino departed last summer, leaving behind a legacy of 111 goals, 75 assists, and numerous trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.
