Rema Reportedly Set To Earn $3 Million For Performance At Ambani’s Wedding
Afrobeats sensation, Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, is set to be paid a staggering $3 million to perform at the wedding of Anant Ambani, son of India’s wealthiest man Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant.
A viral video on Thursday captured Rema’s arrival in India ahead of the lavish wedding ceremony.
According to the Hindustan Times, Rema will perform his global hit “Calm Down” at the event, earning him the substantial fee.
Rema is among several high-profile artists slated to perform at the wedding. Canadian pop star Justin Bieber reportedly received $10 million for his performance, and pop icon Rihanna will also take to the stage, though her fee remains undisclosed.
The wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant is scheduled for July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). This event is the culmination of a series of grand celebrations hosted by both families since March.
The guest list boasts numerous high-profile personalities, including Kim Kardashian, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
