Tinubu Orders Cultivation Of Military Land Nationwide To Address Food Shortage
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the military to convert their vast lands into agricultural hubs to address food shortage and insecurity.
According to the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Defence, Hon. Babajimi Benson, Mr President has mandated the Armed Forces to put farming on the front burner to ensure that their vast expense of land across the country is cultivated for farming because of his belief that if there is food security, insecurity will go down.
This incredible move aims to:
– Utilize unused lands for food production and security.
– Ensure no land is left ungoverned across the country.

In the manifesto of the President, he stated that his administration targets to increase the cultivated land in Nigeria from 35% of arable land to 65% in four years.
