Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, revealed the exciting details during a press conference in Lagos.
This year’s edition, starting on July 28 and running for 71 days until October 6, comes with a grand prize of ₦100 million and a new SUV for the winner. But that’s not all – the new season introduces several intriguing changes to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
One of the most significant twists is that housemates will enter the house in pairs and tackle some challenges together. This new dynamic is expected to create unique tensions and alliances within the house. Tejumola hinted at more surprises to be revealed during the premiere, including changes to the usual Head of House challenge.
Fans of the show can look forward to the return of favorite elements like the pool parties and Saturday night parties. Additionally, “Big Brother Naija Buzz,” hosted by Toke Makinwa, will offer behind-the-scenes content for those who can’t get enough of the drama.
For viewers at home, there’s a chance to win big too. Tope Oshunkeye, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice, introduced the “Lock-in” game, where fans can predict winners of immunity challenges for a chance to win ₦1 million each.
With these exciting changes and the promise of more drama, entertainment, and twists than ever before, Big Brother Naija season 9 is shaping up to be a must-watch event for reality TV fans across Nigeria and beyond.
