Music executive, Dayo ‘D1’ Adeneye, has said ladies faint when ace musician, 2Baba, formerly known as 2Face, performs.
Featuring in the ‘Deep Dive’ podcast hosted by comedian Teju Babyface, Adeneye recalled how four ladies fainted at a concert in Ivory Coast while 2Baba performed on stage.
The music executive, who was the director of 2Baba’s former label, Kennis Music stated that at the height of the label, there were over 50 artists on its radar.
“At the height of Kennis Music, we had over 50 artists on the label. Lagbaja was signed to us. We had everybody, from gospel to hip-hop to fuji,” he said.
“We’ve been at a couple of shows where I’ve seen girls faint when 2Face was performing. I went on a tour in Ivory Coast, and brought a girl on stage and she hugged 2Face and passed out. During that concert, four girls fainted.
“These were people who didn’t speak English but they knew the lyrics of all his songs word-for-word. This was a francophone country and four girls fainted. We thought it was a joke but an ambulance had to carry them. They fainted just because they were in the presence of 2Face.”
