Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, who has faced setbacks in recent Octagon appearances, believes that he is still the best in the game.

In a discussion on a podcast with Henry Cejudo, Kamaru Usman expressed his determination to reclaim the UFC welterweight title that has eluded him in recent bouts.

Reflecting on his loss to Khamzat Chimaev in his last fight at UFC 294, which marked his third consecutive defeat, Usman dismissed speculations about his retirement, emphasizing his commitment to continue competing at the highest level.

He said: “I’m going to do what it takes to earn that title fight, and then that fight’s going to happen. Doesn’t matter. The boogeyman is on sabbatical right now. That’s all it is. I still got tread left in these tyres, and I’m still going to show that I am one of the best if not the best in the world.”
