Transfer: Samu Omorodion’s move to Chelsea ‘at risk’

Samu Omorodion’s move from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea is “at risk”.

The transfer was expected to be completed following the completion of the 2024 Olympics, where Omorodion was with the Spain team.

However, there are “serious issues” with the deal and both clubs are working to fix it.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, tweeted on Sunday night: “There are serious issues for the Samu Omorodion deal, as @marcosbenito9 has reported.

“Chelsea move currently considered at risk but all parties are still working on it.

“Understand Chelsea and Atlético are in contact to find solutions as the Omorodion deal could collapse.

“Both Atléti and Chelsea have clear plans: Gallagher and Julián Álvarez deal can NOT collapse. So work in progress on solutions.”
