Tems and Rema make it to Former U.S President Barrack Obama’s summer playlist
Every year, former U.S President Barrack Obama releases his Summer playlist of the year, and it is quite a huge deal for any artist to make it to the list.
Barrack Obama listed quite a number of artists in two pages, but two names stood out, and that was Tems and Rema.
Tems made it to the list because of her song Love Mr Jeje. This same song got her a nomination at the VMA Awards, under the Best Afro Beats Category.
Rema made it to the list because of his song YAYO, which was part of the albums project HEIS. When Rema released HEIS the album, it had a shaky reception by the public, as fans complained that Rema’s sound has changed.
However, it seems that Rema’s fans have adapted to his new sound, as songs from the album like Ozeba are topping charts.
Apart from his sound, Rema’s fans have shown concern about the singer’s smoking habits, as there have been several photos that captured him smoking recently.
Regardless of the concerns of Rema’s fans, the singer still seems to be doing well for himself with regards to his career.
When the heir to the Ambani family fortune in India was getting married, Rema was the only Nigerian artist that got invited to perform there, and he was rumored to have been paid millions of dollars.
On the other hand, Tems has also been doing well for herself, gaining global impact and fans from all around the world.
Recently, one of her die-hard fans proudly showed her the huge tattoo he drew of her on his back, and she seemed genuinely amazed.
Netizens were however quick to chastise her for not responding with more enthusiasm, with some even stating that she should’ve at least hugged him for his effort.
