American Rapper, Ybcdul Fatally Shot Dead In West Philadelphia

Abdul Vicks, known in the music world as “Ybcdul,” an American rapper and alleged leader of the Young Bag Chasers (YBC) gang, was tragically shot and killed in West Philadelphia on Friday.

The incident occurred around 3:34 pm in the Olney neighborhood on the 5500 block of 6th Street, where Ybcdul was shot multiple times in the chest and right hand.

Despite being quickly transported to Einstein Medical Center, the rapper was pronounced dead at 3:55 pm.

Vicks, also referred to as “Mr. Disrespectful,” was reportedly the leader of the YBC gang, a connection reflected in his stage name.

His death has triggered widespread concern and prompted an ongoing investigation, though no arrests have been made thus far.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information related to the case, urging witnesses to contact the Homicide Unit or the police department’s tipline.

The incident follows the recent arrest of another rapper, Quamere Hall, known as “Mere Pablo,” who was allegedly connected to Vicks. Hall was taken into custody earlier this month in relation to a fatal shooting that occurred last year.

In the wake of the shooting, Vicks’ father took to social media to express his grief and clarify the circumstances surrounding his son’s death.

My son Abdul Vicks was murdered yesterday afternoon in broad daylight while sitting in the back of his car alongside a friend who was also shot in the hand,” he wrote, dispelling rumors that Vicks was killed while riding a bike.

He further stated that his son was likely targeted in a planned attack, noting that Vicks had felt uneasy in the days leading up to his death, sensing that he was being watched.

According to No Jumper, Vicks’ father acknowledged that his son “did not live a life of a saint,” but insisted that the family would not rest until those responsible for the killing were brought to justice.

He concluded his heartfelt message by thanking those who had offered support and prayers, and urged parents to steer their children away from dangerous lifestyles.

“My heart will forever have a black hole in it after this one,” Vicks’ father wrote. “Parents, save your kids from this life before it’s too late because I can’t even explain this feeling right now.” He ended his post with a prayer for his son’s peace and forgiveness.
