‘I love Kanye West’ – Tems admits

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has expressed her admiration for controversial American rapper, Kanye West.

Speaking in the latest episode of the ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ podcast, the ‘Mr Rebel’ crooner said she loves Kanye West, stressing that she relates with him sometimes.

“I love Kanye [West]. I relate to him sometimes,” she remarked.

Tems also opened up about her relationship with American R&B star Brent Faiyaz.
“Brent Faiyaz is my very good friend. I have known him since like 2021. He is a real one. He is always supportive. I have a couple of artists I’m close to and he’s one of them,” she said.

Meanwhile, Tems has become the first female Nigerian artist to reach the 1 billion solo streams mark on Spotify.

She achieved the feat following the release of her much-anticipated debut album, ‘Born In The Wild.’
