EPL: Ten Hag on getting sacked after 3-0 defeat to Tottenham
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has dismissed rumours that he would be sacked following their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead in the first half before United captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off before the interval.
Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke scored in the second half to condemn Ten Hag’s men to a second consecutive loss at Old Trafford.
The result leaves United in 12th place with seven points from six fixtures.
But speaking after the game against Spurs, Ten Hag insisted that he, the players and the board decided to continue together.
He said: “I’m not thinking about being sacked, not at all. We all made the decision to stay together.
“Ownership, staff, players, myself. We made the decision from a clear review of what we have to do. We knew it would take some time. We are on the same page together.”
