According to court documents, West hired Monroe in August 2021 to provide security at his Malibu, California home, with an agreed-upon hourly rate of $30.
Monroe claims he worked extensive hours, ranging from 36 to 50 hours per week, but never received payment.
Monroe alleges that when he raised concerns about his unpaid wages, West terminated his employment in October 2021.
The lawsuit seeks compensation for:
– Unpaid wages
– Interest on the owed amount
– Punitive damages
This legal issue arises after West recently sold his Malibu mansion for $21 million, significantly below its initial listing price of $53 million.
