Ugochinyere, a PDP chieftain, alleged that the former governor of Rivers State was responsible for the crisis in the state.
He said Damagum should have taken action against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Wike, if he were to be serious with addressing the crisis in Rivers State.
In a statement on Thursday, the Opposition Coalition Spokesman added that Damagum would not mind if Rivers State sinks in the political crisis ravaging the state.
“The Big Umbrella is now battling to survive the hold of a mere political errand man for an APC agent because of the silence of PDP leaders in standing up to APC errand men in our party.
“Have you noticed that as pro-wike APC agents parading as PDP members are fighting a futile battle against the PDP govt in Rivers State including undermining PDP participation in the election, there is one voice that has gone silent and refused to speak up, and that is the APC-backed imposter called Damagun parading as PDP chairman and usurper of the North Central Slot for PDP Chairmanship?
“Damagun can’t speak because his master and pro-Wike group have him under political lock and key, so even if Rivers is going to sink, let it sink as long as it serves the interest of the pro-Wike. No matter whatever they do, No shaking,” Ugochinyere stated.
The statement, on his X handle, added, “Let PDP stop pampering these jokers, summon an emergency meeting, and throw them out, and I repeat, nothing will happen. Take back your party and stop behaving like captured souls. Do it, and nothing will happen. We will all meet in court with them, but let the needful be done now.”
