The fire outbreak emerged shortly after the Inspector-General of Police asked policemen, who initially sealed the secretariats to avoid violence to withdraw from the facilities immediately.

So far, no arrests have been made, and the police have yet to release an official statement on the incident.

The situation has raised concerns about the potential for further violence, not just in Ikwerre but in other local councils across the state.

As investigations continue, the public awaits more updates on the unfolding situation.
