Obilor, better known as Iyierioba said the governor has not demonstrated that he is different from his predecessors,
He spoke to ABN TV in response to the fallout from the primary election of the Labour Party ahead of the chairmanship and councillorship election in the state.
Obilor alleged that the process that led to the emergence of candidates was not fair and transparent, saying the leadership of the Labour Party is adopting a deceitful strategy to fleece contestants, just like the former governing party, the PDP did.
He said; “Ferdinand Ekeoma (SA to the governor) told me they will do primaries, the governor also told me they will do primaries, but that did not happen. They went and picked somebody.
“I’m challenging Ekeoma to show me where the primary election took place (Afuguri ward), let him share the video. That is why I am angry, they told us they came for change, and they are doing the same thing the past government did.
“We believed in him (the governor), he met me before the election three times in Umukabia Ohuhu. It was the whole thing that you told me there that made me support you”, he said.
He denied the allegation that he is angry because his preferred candidate for the ward lost the primary.
According to him, under a free and fair primary election, his preferred candidate would have secured the councillorship nomination ticket.
Meanwhile the Special Adviser to Governor Otti on Media, Ferdinand Ekeoma accused Obilor of being frustrated over his failure to have his brother imposed as candidate for the ward.
