The heartbreaking event, which has generated widespread reactions, was shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
According to the post, Eze had just received approval for his visa and returned to his village to inform his father of the good news before traveling abroad. His father, wanting to ensure his success overseas, suggested a fortification ritual and took him to a native doctor.
As part of the ritual, the native doctor recommended that Eze be buried alive for an hour and a half and then exhumed. Sadly, when they dug him up after the allotted time, Eze was found dead.
The authorities were alerted, and both the father and the native doctor have since been arrested by the police.
