2024 Ballon d’Or: Rodri Beats Vinicius,Mbappe To Award; See All Winners
The 2024 edition of the most prestigious football award ceremony in the world, the Ballon d’Or, took place earlier today, October 28, in Paris, France.
The star-studded Ballon d’Or showcased not only individual players but also recognised the exceptional clubs and managers who have made significant contributions to the sport over the past year.
The nominees for the 2024 Ballon d’Or include an impressive lineup of soccer superstars, such as Real Madrid’s dynamic winger Vinícius Júnior, Manchester City’s steadfast midfielder Rodri, and Barcelona’s influential playmaker Aitana Bonmatí. Each contender has made their mark in exciting ways, but only a select few walked away from the iconic Théâtre du Châtelet with one of the coveted awards.
While the Ballon d’Or trophy is undoubtedly the highlight of the evening, the ceremony also presents several other prestigious honours, including the Kopa Trophy for the top young player and the Yashin Trophy for the best goalkeeper.
