Ballon d’Or: They’re not ready – Vinicius vows after losing out to Rodri
Real Madrid forward, Vinicius Junior, has vowed to keep on working hard to win individual awards.
Vinicius stated this in a terse post on X after losing out on the 2024 Ballon d’Or to Manchester City’s Rodri.
The Brazil international was widely expected to win the prize until a late twist of events saw Real Madrid boycott the ceremony on Monday.
Shortly after Rodri was confirmed winner, Vinicius tweeted: “I’ll do it 10x if I have to. They’re not ready.”
Rodri won the Ballon d’Or ahead of Real Madrid’s trio of Vinicius, Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal.
