EPL: Arteta confirms two key Arsenal players to miss Newcastle clash

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that two of his key players will miss the Premier League tie with Newcastle United on Saturday due to injury.

The players are Martin Odegaard and Riccardo Calafiori.

Both players are currently recovering from injury.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday, Arteta also provided the latest update on defender Ben White.

“Riccardo and Martin are out definitely,” Arteta said.

“With Ben, we don’t know yet. He hasn’t trained yet. He could not train, he could not get involved, so let’s wait and see if he’s available. This is related more to a joint.”

Arsenal is currently third position in the Premier League table, behind Liverpool and Manchester City.
