The Duke of Sussex, 40, and the Duchess, 43, have been seen attending solo events.
Meghan attended the LA Children’s Hospital Gala and a digital wellness event in Santa Barbara, while Harry traveled to New York, London, and South Africa for his charitable work.
Speaking on ‘The Sun‘ Royal Exclusive show, royal expert Phil Dampier shared: “I think Meghan is genuinely doing a lot of work in the background for this Netflix project and American Riviera Orchard.”
He added, “She probably wants a bit of a hiatus so that she can launch that. As for Harry, obviously he’s been back and forth with a few charities.”
Dampier noted that while they seem to be focusing on separate projects, “there’s no evidence that they’re splitting up at the moment personally.”
Public relations expert Renae Smith, head of Atticism, told ‘Express.co.uk‘ that Harry and Meghan’s decision to build individual brands could benefit them in the long term but might trigger public speculation for now.
She said, “I think their decision to pursue individual brands could indeed work in their favour over the long term, although it’s bound to spark a fair amount of public speculation in the short term.”
From a PR standpoint, Smith believes this separation allows each of them to form distinct brands that align more closely with their personal priorities.
Prince Harry had reconnected with his friend Prince Seeiso of Lesotho during a visit to Africa.
At a gathering around a bonfire, Harry gave a heartfelt speech about his charity, Sentebale, which supports young people affected by or at risk of HIV.
He said, “We’re hitting the targets, not just Sentebale but all of the departments are, and it’s making a massive difference, and it is this surge of energy and optimism and the voice of young people ranging from six to 25 – and the biggest difference of which really needs more work, is when people from the top start listening.”
Meanwhile, Meghan dazzled in a red gown at the LA Children’s Hospital Gala, joining stars like Demi Lovato, Kaley Cuoco, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jimmy Kimmel, and Colin Hanks.
Following her appearance, the Sussex website was updated with a message: “This weekend, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex attended the biennial Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Gala, an inspiring event dedicated to celebrating the exceptional services provided to children across LA. Invited as a special guest by CHLA’s president and CEO, Paul Viviano, The Duchess was proud to stand alongside esteemed guests in support of this vital cause.”
