About 39 minors from Kaduna State, who were detained by the Federal Government due to their involvement in the August nationwide protests, have been reunited with their families on Wednesday.
The Kaduna State government while reuniting the children gifted each of them N100,000 and an Itel A18s smartphone.
Governor Uba Sani pledged to empower the children as they reintegrate into society, providing rehabilitation and opportunities to become responsible citizens.
The disclosure was made on behalf of the state governor by Dr. Abdulkadir Muazu Meyere, Secretary to the Kaduna State Government. According to him, the governor would offer start-up capital, skills training, and employment to eligible recipients.
“The Governor promised that some of them will receive start-up capital for trading, others will receive skills training, and some will be offered employment,” Meyere said.
