Bishop Oyedepo: Dino Melaye questions Bishop Abioye’s retirement
Senator Dino Melaye has shared his views on the ongoing discussions surrounding the retirement of Bishop Abioye and Shiloh 2024.
Shiloh, is a popular annual Christian event organized by the Living Faith Church Worldwide, led by Bishop David Oyedepo.
Taking to his X page, Melaye expressed his absence from this year’s event and voiced concerns over the apparent retirement of Bishop David Abioye, one of the senior figures in the church.
The senator’s comment appears to highlight a perceived discrepancy in leadership decisions within the church, questioning why a younger Bishop Abioye would step down while the elder Bishop Oyedepo continues to lead.
In his post, Melaye wrote:
“I did not attend Shiloh 2024. Because Shiloh without Bishop Abioye is somehow. I can’t understand why Bishop Oyedepo, who is older, is not retired, and it is Bishop Abioye who is younger that should be forcefully retired. God did not retire Abioye, only Oyedepo did. Let’s watch…”
