It isn’t surprising to see Lisabi 2 topping the list on Netflix, as two weeks back, Lateef had expressed excitement at how the new movie had ranked on the list of 2024’s most searched Nigerian films.
Similarly, his wife, Mo Bimpe had expressed excitement as Lisabi ranked top ten most searched movies in 2024. Bimpe noted how data don’t lie and expressed how glad she was that when people talk about filmmaking in 2024, they are among them.
Last month, Adedimeji expressed excitement as Lisabi returned to the top 10 movies spot on Netflix. He appreciated his wife, Mo Bimpe, for the support as well as his production company, as he promised he wouldn’t disappoint the public.
In other news, last year, Lateef had reflected on the past as he celebrated his growth. Sharing a throwback photo of himself, he stated that his journey over the years was the spirit of not giving up. Lateef stated that if anyone had told him then that he would be what he is today, he would likely throw stones at them.
Back in September, he shared his movie trailer as he reflected on how he went from being the boy backstage to leading a galaxy of stars in bringing them this masterpiece.
Lateef has undoubtedly come so far in his career, and now, the actor is getting recognition for his talent. He was recently nominated for AMVCA 10th edition Best Actor in a Lead Role, last year, unfortunately, he lost to Wole Ojo.
Prior to that, he had received an award for his role in Femi Adebayo’s movie Jagun Jagun. He expressed how honoured he was to be on stage alongside the gods of Nollywood as he vowed never to forget the moment.
