People’s Democratic Youth In Ijebu east Local Government has condemned cowardly and violent attack on Honourable Alimi Oluwaremilekun during his house-to-house campaign in Ijebu East Local Government of Ogun State. It is unacceptable for individuals to resort to such violent actions in an attempt to disrupt the democratic process.
The youth said Hon. Alimi Oluwaremilekun, is a dedicated member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has been tirelessly working to serve the people of his constituency and his aspirations should not be threatened by acts of violence and intimidation.
We commend the security personnel present at the scene for their swift response and for ensuring the safety of Hon. Alimi Oluwaremilekun. It is imperative that those responsible for this attack are identified and brought to justice to prevent further incidents of violence against political aspirants.
We urge the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into this incident and to provide adequate security measures to ensure the safety of all political aspirants in the upcoming elections. Violence has no place in a democratic society, and we must all work together to uphold the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
