The Nigeria Police had at last adjourned date docked four suspects Mukaila Salawu known as Actor, Tiyamiyu Ahmed, Wasiu Suleimon, and Ibrahim Ekemode before Magistrate Lateef Owolabi relating to the murder while declaring Omogbemi and Mayaki as at large.

Appearing before the Magistrates today, the prosecuting counsel Mrs Abiola Adeoye  informed the court of the development and prayed for their remand order pending issuance of legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution.

However, the defendants counsel, Bright Uleyo opposed the remand order application arguing that there is no material fact before the court ro grant such applications.

In his ruling, Magistrate Lateef Owolabi granted the request and ordered that the suspect should be remanded in Kirikiri prison for thirty days for issuance of DPP Legal Advice.

The matter was subsequently adjourned till October 10 for mention.

According to the charges filed by the Police, the suspects on the 1st April 2024 at about 0900hrs at Otta Ikosi Agbowa in the Lagos Magisterial district did conspire amongst themselves to commit Robbery and thereby committed an offence Contrary to Section 299 of the Criminal Laws Cap.
