The Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Friday, attended the funeral service of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, at the National Christian Centre in Abuja.
The NGF Chairman described Taoreed Lagbaja as a true Nigerian whose remarkable dedication to the defence of the country’s sovereignty and unwavering commitment to peace and security cannot be forgotten.
“His remarkable service to our nation, dedication to the defence of our sovereignty, and unwavering commitment to peace and security will forever be remembered,” the NGF said.
Governor AbdulRazaq had paid his last tribute to Lagbaja on Tuesday where he sympathised with his family, colleagues, and all the men and women of the Nigerian Army and prayed for the repose of his soul.
Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja passed on Tuesday night, November 5, 2024, after a period of illness, according to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
