Primate Ayodele Preaches At Pre-Ramadan Lecture In Lagos

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, demonstrated religious tolerance by preaching at a pre-Ramadan lecture he was invited to in Lagos.

The lecture, which took place on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, was attended by Muslim faithfuls who were astonished by Primate Ayodele’s unprecedented gesture—not only gracing the event but also preaching to them in the spirit of unity.

At the lecture, Primate Ayodele spoke on the subject of love, emphasizing that the only thing God desires from mankind is the expression of love, regardless of any differences.

He explained that he has not come into this life for religion but to do whatever God commands, with showing love being the most important. He also stated that he is less concerned if anyone dislikes him, as long as he is in right standing with God.

Primate Ayodele expressed gratitude to the organizers for extending an invitation to him despite religious differences.

“The only thing God wants is love. I am not against any religion because that’s not what I came into life for. I am only seeking God and doing things for God. I don’t care if anyone dislikes me, as long as God does. I am happy for what you’ve done—it was God who inspired you to invite me, and I appreciate you for extending the invitation.”

He continued, urging the Muslim faithful present to always embrace love, explaining that nothing can harm someone who has true love for humanity. He also pointed out that without love, sin would abound, and as a result, God would distance Himself from humanity.

“If you have love, no one can successfully do anything against you. Sin is what makes love far from us, and Allah is Love. If I didn’t love, I wouldn’t be here.”

Additionally, Primate Ayodele urged President Tinubu to enact capital punishment for anyone who fights or kills in the name of religion, stating that such individuals should be regarded as bandits.

“We urge Tinubu to create laws regarding religion. Anyone who fights or kills for religion should be killed. Anyone who fights because of religion should be considered a bandit. I am grateful for this invitation.”

Primate Ayodele also made a donation to the Muslim community, promising to do more during Ramadan.

It is important to note that Primate Ayodele’s relationship with the Muslim community has always been cordial. His church comprises both Muslim and Christian congregants. For Primate Ayodele, he believes every religion can peacefully coexist as long as there is love.

This belief is also why he initiated a mosque project, inviting Etsu Nupe, Imams, and Muslim leaders to perform its groundbreaking ceremony. Furthermore, during Ramadan, Primate Ayodele always shares food items with the Muslim community, further demonstrating his unwavering love for Islam.
