A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Apo, Abuja, has ordered the final forfeiture of properties belonging to businesswoman and Oceangate Engineering Oil & Gas Ltd founder, Aisha Achimugu, to the Federal Government

The order was issued on Thursday by Justice Jude Onwugbuzie after granting an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The assets forfeited include jewellery valued at N4.645 billion, 11 vehicles worth N4.293 billion, $50,000 in cash and N30 million.

The EFCC told the court that the properties were linked to Achimugu and sought a final forfeiture order, which the court granted.

Achimugu was arrested by the EFCC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, in April 2025 over alleged money laundering.

In a separate ruling, a Federal High Court in Abuja also ordered the final forfeiture of $13 million linked to Achimugu and her company, Oceangate Engineering Oil and Gas Ltd.
