Abia: Coronavirus patient who was declared wanted turns himself in
The Coronavirus patient who was declared wanted by the Abia State Government after he fled from a holding centre in Aba, has turned himself in for treatment.
Abia state’s Commissioner for information, Chief John Okiyi-Kalu who made the announcement said the patient identified as Emmanuel Ononiwu is now at the isolation center in Amachara, Umuahia South Local Government Area of the state.
Ononiwu reported at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in Aba with his family including his wife at 8.05am on Saturday May 30 and it was gathered that their samples have been taken for testing. Active contract tracing has also commenced.
