APC Dissolves All Party’s Structure, Expels Vice Chairman
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has disbanded the party’s structures at all levels across the country.
Citynews reports that the dissolution of the party’s structures at state states, zonal, and national level was part of the consensus reached at an emergency NEC meeting of the party that took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja..
Speaking to state House correspondents after the meeting, Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, disclosed that NEC also ratified the expulsion of former National Vice Chairman, South-south, Ntufam Hilliard Eta.
NEC is the highest decision making body of the APC.
El-Rufai said Eta’s expulsion was spurred by his refusal to withdraw the suit filed against the caretaker committee.
Also at the NEC meeting, the tenure of the party’s caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee led by Governor Mai Buni of Yobe is extended by six months.
The meeting was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, all party’s governors and its bigwig.
