The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has asked a US court to allow it to keep some records concerning an old investigation linked to President Bola Tinubu from public disclosure, citing the need to protect law-enforcement methods and the safety of individuals. The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has called for the arrest and prosecution of former military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, over alleged crimes and abuses committed during his years in power. President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), effective August 27, 2026.
