The recent launch of the National Insurance Commission’s (NAICOM) licensing portal has been met with criticism from insurance agents, who claim that their concerns and inputs were ignored in the portal’s development.The agents argue that the portal’s omission of their association’s certificate/receipt as a requirement for registration/licensing will allow unqualified individuals to enter the agency business and deprive the association of revenue.The agents also expressed frustration that the portal does not address their existing challenges, including the inability to complete their renewal/licensing processes online.
