Kano State House of Assembly Members from the All Progressives Congress (APC) have rejected the abolition of the five Emirates in the state by Governor Abba Yusuf. Four retired soldiers have been arrested for the alleged murder of personnel of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Niger. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has clamped down on a rice factory in Niger State, Jaff Foods Limited, over its unhygienic processing method.
