“In life we meet to part, we part to meet, but parting is the sweetest sorrow.” Five years have vanished like a vapor, yet the echoes of his voice remain as vivid as a morning sunrise. June 5th marks the anniversary of the transition of a man who was not merely a global religious icon, but a father, a mentor, and a beacon of profound simplicity in a complex world. As I pen this, I find myself still navigating the shores of denial. How does one write a tribute to a man whose influence was as vast as the oceans,…

Former Minister of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation, Edem Duke, has dismissed suggestions that former President Goodluck Jonathan could be drawn into active partisan politics ahead of the 2027 general election, describing such moves as misguided. Speaking on Prime Time on Arise Television on Wednesday, Duke said Jonathan’s tenure as president remains one of the defining periods in Nigeria’s democratic history and argued that the former leader’s stature as a statesman should not be subjected to political calculations. He expressed concern over reports linking Jonathan to a possible return to frontline politics, saying individuals promoting the idea were attempting to use…
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, has approved a special compensation package for eligible Band A electricity customers affected by power supply shortfalls caused by grid generation constraints between February and March 2026. In a public notice issued on Thursday, the commission said the directive became necessary following significant generation shortages across the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry, NESI, which hindered Distribution Companies, DisCos, from delivering the committed service levels to some Band A customers. According to NERC, the shortfalls were largely caused by inadequate gas supply and the vandalism of critical gas and transmission infrastructure, factors beyond the direct control of…

President Trump confirmed in an exclusive “Pod Force One” interview with The Post’s Miranda Devine that he called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “f–king crazy” during a Monday phone call, but insisted they have “worked very well together.” “I was a little bit perturbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon,” Trump said. The attacks have imperiled US-Iran peace talks due to Tehran’s insistence that the Israeli targeting of Hezbollah cease before a deal is reached to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and then dismantle Iran’s nuclear program. “We’ve worked very well together. I like Bibi a lot. And I work…
