Breaking: Herdsmen ‘Abduct Four Passengers On Ibadan-Ijebu Ode Road’
Four passengers in a car were, on Thursday morning, kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen along Ibadan-Ijebu Ode road, CityNews reports.
According to Tribune online, the incident, which occurred around 8.25 am caused panic along the road as motorists and commercial motorcycle riders hurriedly made a detour to avoid being trapped by the kidnappers.
One of the victims, who managed to escape from the scene while narrating his ordeal said the Fulani herders suddenly emerged from the bush and blocked the road.
According to the middle-aged man, who was shot in the left hand by the herdsmen, “I was driving my car on our trip to Ijebu Ode from Ibadan when these Fulani herdsmen, numbering eight suddenly came out from the bush and started shooting at us.”
