Breaking: Buhari Wants Senate Confirmation For New Chief Of Army Staff
President Buhari has asked the senate to confirm Nigeria’s new Chief of Army Staff.
CityNews Nigeria reports that President Muhammadu Buahri has approached the Nigeria Senate for the confirmation of new Chief of Army Staff,Major General Farouk Yahaya.
President Muhammdu Buhari, on Tuesday, forwarded the name of Major General Farouk Yahaya, to the Senate for screening and confirmation for appointment as the Chef of Army Staff (COAS),CityNews reports.
Senate President Ahmad Lawan read Buhari’s letter of request at plenary on Monday.
Buhari had named Major General Yahaya of Course 37 as the acting COAS following the demise of Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru in a NAF aircraft that crashed in Kaduna at the weekend.
