Breaking: Buhari’s Son-In-Law Declared Wanted By ICPC For $65M Fraud
One of the sons-in-law of President Muhammadu Buhari, Gimba Yau Kumo has been declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
CityNews Nigeria reports that Kumo who is married to Fatima Buhari was declared wanted by the anti-corruption agency in relation to the alleged misappropriation of funds under the national housing scheme.
Kumo, a former managing director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria alongside two others – Mr. Tarry Rufus, and Mr. Bola Ogunsola were declared wanted by the ICPC in a statement published on the ICPC website on Thursday and signed by the spokesperson of the commission, Mrs Azuka C. Ogugua.
“The persons whose pictures appear above, Mr. Tarry Rufus, Mr. Gimba Yau Kumo and Mr. Bola Ogunsola, are hereby declared WANTED by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in connection with issues bordering on misappropriation of National Housing Funds and diversion of the sum of Sixty Five Million dollars ($65,000,000).”
“Anyone who has useful information on their whereabouts should report to ICPC Headquarters Abuja, any of the ICPC State Offices or the nearest police station,” the ICPC statement said alongside the pictures of the three persons.
CityNews recalls that Kumo married Fatima, the president’s daughter, in 2016 at Daura, Katsina state.
